We in USI are always trying to find ways to better reach and engage with students and to spread our message about the importance of talking about mental health, as well as providing information on ways to do that. We’ve recently created a specific online space on Instagram and BlueSky for everything student mental health, and we’ve been designing new materials to go alongside that.
We’ve designed new posters, especially to go on the back of toilet doors on campus. That way, if you’re taking a moment to yourself when you’re not feeling your best on campus, there’s a reminder that that’s ok, but that you don’t need to go through it alone. The poster has a QR code on it that brings you to a webpage full of sources of help.

We’ve also designed some new leaflets to help inform students about their mental health, how they can help themselves, and how they can help others, too. These leaflets can be picked up discretely and kept in your bag for when you might need the information.

We also have some new social media graphics to go alongside these materials, which we will be sharing in the coming days and weeks on our Instagram and BlueSky, and we would really appreciate it if you could interact with those posts to help us get the word out there!

We are delighted to say that all of these materials are available both in English and as Gaeilge. If you don’t see these materials on your campus, ask your students’ union to ask us about it – we will send them out for free!
